Enjoy these wonderful adoption stories from our HSC alumni.   Share with those you know and it will surely make many understand just how great adopting a homeless animal is.

Just a quick note to let ya’ll know how much I love my girl.  When I adopted her back in September 2012, she was two months old (2.1lbs).  She is now going on eleven months old and quite the “piece of art”.  She is truly an only child…and takes advantage of it as much as possible!!!

Kismet was from another animal shelter, and was there because of house-soiling issues.  It took some doing, but she is using her litter-box now like a champ!  Kismet is beautiful and exotic, and has been a big source of joy in my life.  Thank you HSC!

Tibet” (he now goes by his new middle name, “Jett” 🙂  was adopted in December 2011.    He’s doing great, loves his new home (as you can tell by the pictures), and is the star of the house.    Just wanted to let you know in case you need any new Success Stories or Fur-ever Home features (I’ve been an HSC member for a long time, so get the newsletters, too, and love that column).

These two wonderful felines were at Kitty Korner at the same time.  They became so close that they really would be better if adopted as a pair.   Look at this fantastic photo forwarded to us by their new family.  You have to just love this!

Oliver is doing great and I am madly in love with him.  He sleeps with me every night and runs to the door to greet me when I come home from class.  He is my constant companion and the world’s most perfect cat.  My parents met Oliver for the first time a couple of weeks ago.  They’re both as taken with him as I am and routinely call to ask how he’s doing.  I’ll be visiting them in Alabama after school lets out and they’ve insisted I bring Oliver with me.

    MamaYango formerly Scarlet

In March we adopted MamaYango (which means Oh My! in Swahili) and she is a lovely, lively, intelligent and pretty cat .  During the first week here I thought she was going to tear down thehouse.  We had to retrieve her from the back of the refrigerator, the dishwasher and very high shelves.  Now she has calmed down, she is very playful and is becoming more and more affectionate.  She purrs as soon as I touch her and she speaks to me when she wants attention.  Thank you for keeping her alive for 6 months when nobody wanted her.

We adopted Bastet in September.  We wanted to give you an update on her first trip in the motor home.  She loves checking out the birds as she enjoys the view over the Gulf of Mexico at the Ho-Hum campground in Apalachicola, FL.  She is so gentle and sweet and we discovered she loves to travel.  Thank you again for our girl.
