The Charlotte Fair – Two Dollar Tuesday @ Ver-El Park
Apr 4 @ 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm

The Charlotte Fair is back! Head over to Ver-El Park, across from the Charlotte Motor Speedway and take advantage of $2 Tuesday.   Bring a donation for the animals (supplies and food) and get a reduced admission fee of $2. Enjoy carnival rides, fair fare, a petting zoo and live music…all while helping the animals.

Bank of America Awareness and Adoption Event @ Founder's Hall

Looking for that new member of the family? Drop by Founders Hall during your lunch hour and you’ll find the HSC and many other rescue groups with adoptable pets for you to choose. This annual event features dogs and cats galore, right in the center of uptown. Swing by and learn more, or just come for the cuteness.

Come out to Metrolina Auto Group for an exciting night of fabulous fashion, luxury automobiles and furry friends. Enjoy bubbles and brew while watching a fashion show (with dogs on the catwalk) against the backdrop of the finest automobiles in the Charlotte region…all to benefit the HSC. Pet Palooza Festival & WALK FOR THE ANIMALS @ Independence Park

Walk for the Animals
Walk for the Animals is the HSC’s annual 2K fundraising walk. This is a fun family walk for people and pets of all ages. Walk with your pet or on your own. You’ll have a great time and you’ll get a warm furry feeling by raising money to help the animals. Your walk registration fee and fundraising proceeds will help us to meet our event goal of $160,000. Come and walk!! The shelter pets will love you for it.

Pet Palooza is the “Must Attend” festival of the year, featuring:
A Vendor Fair with over 80 Organizations & Businesses

Pet Palooza is the longest running Pet Festival in Charlotte! Each year, 4,000 people and their pets head to Independence Park and ‘paw’ty on down at the festival. There is something for everyone!

Need a New Family Member? There’s a Pet Adoption Area with lots of local rescue groups
Wanna Rock On? Jam to the live music of The Olde #7 Band
Care for a Beverage? Hang out with your friends in our beer garden

Women for Animal Welfare Luncheon @ Charlotte Country Club

On May 17th, the HSC will host its 4th Annual Women for Animal Welfare Luncheon at Charlotte Country Club The event is open to all women who are compassionate about issues concerning animal welfare and are interested in the work of the HSC. At the luncheon, we will honor Deanna Lasner, Robin Byrd, Cary Bernstein, Neya Warren and Katie Tyler for their work to help animals in our region.
