Building a safer, happier community for pets and people
The Humane Society of Charlotte believes education and understanding about the interconnectedness between humans and animals is as important to building happy, healthy, pet-friendly communities as it is to building happy, healthy, pet-friendly homes. We are working hard to make an impact here in Charlotte through public education and services that not only save the lives of animals, but also improve the quality of life and safety of our community. One of the best ways that we can ensure a positive future for animals in the Charlotte region is to play a part in helping people care for and keep their pets in their homes.
We are making significant progress in this area by providing resources, tools and education to pet families through programs like HSC’s Critter Care Wellness Clinics, HSC’s Community Outreach Pet Food Bank, behavior support, iBuild fence build program, Pets for Life, iCare Rehoming Board, Safety Net and partnerships with other non-profits.
