Celebrate your birthday at HSC! Gather with family and friends for a fun and unique experience while discovering how we help animals and the people who care for them.
BIRTHDAY PARTY
Best For: Animal lovers ages 7 and up, including adults!
Duration: 60 or 90 minutes
Available: Select Sundays at 11:15 a.m.
Group Size: No more than 25 participants
Cost:
• Up to 15 participants: $100 ($125 with 30-minute add-on)
• Up to 25 participants: $150 ($175 with 30-minute add-on)
Animal Interaction: Cannot be guaranteed

Payment is required 3 weeks prior to your scheduled program date.

ACTIVITY OPTIONS
Adoption Posters
Choose your favorite adoptable animal and make a poster to help them find their forever home.
Service Projects
Help make enrichment items like braided rope toys, cat wands, cat scratchers, snuffle mats, treat puzzles, dog bandanas, etc.
Crafts
Create animal themed crafts that participants can take home or host a fashion show as you work in teams to dress up a plush dog or cat.
Donor Appreciation Art
Create an animal portrait or thank you card we can give to our donors as a way to say thank you for supporting our mission.

Every birthday party includes a visit to the Adoption Center to see adoptable animals. To help reduce fear, stress, and anxiety, shelter pets do not participate in birthday party activities. When available, guests may have the opportunity to meet one of our animal ambassadors, volunteer-owned dogs who are comfortable around groups of people and have completed a behavior assessment with a certified trainer. Animal ambassador visits are subject to volunteer availability and cannot be guaranteed.
No. The Cat Cafe is not included as part of birthday party activities. Because the space is small and cat availability varies from day to day, we cannot guarantee that a cat will be present. Guests are welcome to visit the Cat Cafe before or after the party, but we ask that visitors enter in small groups and allow cats to choose their level of interaction. Cats should not be picked up.
No. Due to limited staffing and supplies, birthday parties are limited to 25 total participants, including children, parents, guardians, and the guest of honor. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we are unable to accommodate groups larger than 25 participants.
No. Birthday parties are offered at 11:15 a.m. on select Sundays only. To identify potential party dates, check our Youth Programs Calendar and look for Sundays with youth programming scheduled. Availability is limited, and party dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Table decorations are welcome, but nothing may be hung on walls, doors, or other surfaces. To help keep our animals safe and comfortable, we ask that balloons, confetti, glitter, and other small decorative items not be brought into the facility. Cake candles are permitted. Due to our programming schedule, access to the party space is available no more than 15 minutes before the start of the party for setup and decorating.
