Adiestramiento Canino y Asesoramiento de Comportamiento en Charlotte
At the Humane Society of Charlotte, our training philosophy is based on behavioral science, positive reinforcement and strengthening the human animal bond. We offer a variety of classes that teach you how to communicate with your dog through training methods, engaging their brain and having fun.
NOTICE: HSC’s training sessions are not suitable for dogs that excessively bark at other dogs or people, exhibit extreme fear, or show signs of aggression. We are unable to address exclusively in-home behaviors such as potty training, crate training, separation anxiety, chewing/destruction, or territorial behaviors. For assistance with these specific issues, please seek the help of a positive reinforcement, in-home trainer. Pre-registration is required for all sessions.
Proof of DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines must be on file. Email documentation to training@humanecharlotte.org or bring it to your first class.

Preguntas Frecuentes
All training at HSC is based on positive reinforcement, fear-free principles, and behavior science. We don’t use punishment-based techniques. Our approach is built on communication, trust, and a positive relationship between you and your dog.
Not at all! Dogs can learn at any age with the right approach. Positive reinforcement works just as well for adult and senior dogs as it does for puppies.
Puppies can join classes starting at 16 weeks old. All dogs must have DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella on file before attending.
HSC training classes are not the right setting for dogs with aggression, extreme fear, or significant reactivity. For those situations, a certified in-home trainer is the better fit as they can work with your dog one-on-one in a controlled environment.
