Are you a high school student who cares deeply about animals and wants to make a difference? Join the Animal Advocacy Club at the Humane Society of Charlotte- a four-month, hands-on program built just for teens ready to raise their voices for animal welfare.

Whether you’re just beginning your advocacy journey or already speaking out for the animals you love, this monthly club gives you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to create real change in your community and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

Each month, you’ll explore a new topic through interactive sessions, guest speakers, group discussions, and hands-on activities. Topics may include:

  • Pet overpopulation and unethical breeding practices
  • Understanding animal behavior without anthropomorphism
  • Unbiased access to care and the barriers pet owners face
  • Animal training philosophies and the science behind them
  • And more!

Program Details:

Who: Students in Grades 9–12
Fall Dates: September 14th, October 12th, November 9th, December 14th | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Cost: $50 for all four sessions (financial assistance available)
Where: Humane Society of Charlotte | 1348 Parker Drive, Charlotte, NC
