I have tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that compromises a cat's immune system. It is a feline-only virus that cannot be transmitted to humans. Cats who test positive for FIV can live for many years without serious symptoms, and can live with FIV negative cats if they get along well. I would love a home that can make sure I see the vet if I get sick and takes me to get regular checkups.

Es un virus exclusivo de los felinos y no puede transmitirse a las personas. Los gatos con FIV pueden vivir durante muchos años sin presentar síntomas graves y también pueden convivir con gatos negativos a FIV si se llevan bien entre ellos. Me encantaría encontrar un hogar que me lleve al veterinario cuando lo necesite y que se asegure de que reciba chequeos médicos de manera regular.
