Mantra
Mantra is a sweet, sensitive girl who just needs a little time to warm up. Once she feels safe and comfortable, her loving personality begins to shine. She sometimes shows her affection with gentle little "love bites," so she'd do best in a home with older children who can understand and respect her boundaries. If you're looking for a kind companion and are willing to let her settle in at her own pace, Mantra could be the perfect match
Mantra has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FelV). FeLV is a cat specific virus that is transferred through bodily fluids, from activities such as grooming or a bite wound. FeLV can cause a cat to be more susceptible to diseases that a healthy cat may be able to fight off. Mantra should be retested in September of 2026, which is around 6 months after her last test. She needs to be an indoor cat for the remainder of her life to protect her from exposure to diseases, and so she doesn't spread the virus to another cat. Mantra should receive regular check-ups just like any other cat.
