Mattie

Meet Mattie! She previously lived with both cats and dogs, so she has some experience sharing her home with other pets. We're still getting to know this sweet girl and discovering her personality a little more every day. Stop by and meet Mattie-you might be the person she's been waiting to get to know!

I have tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FelV). FeLV is a cat specific virus that is transferred through bodily fluids, from activities such as grooming or a bite wound. FeLV can cause a cat to be more susceptible to diseases that a healthy cat may be able to fight off. I should be retested in March 2027, which is around 6 months after my last test. I need to be an indoor cat for the remainder of my life to protect me from exposure to diseases, and so I don't spread the virus to another cat. I should receive regular check-ups just like any other cat.
