Staal

Staal is a sweet, playful boy who is ready to find a family to call his own! He's a smart dog who loves treats, making him eager to learn, and he especially enjoys carrying around his favorite soft toys. Staal is still working on his manners, including walking politely on a leash, and once he has finished recovering from his completed heartworm treatment, he would be a great candidate for a positive reinforcement training class. He may get excited and bark when he sees other dogs on walks, but with continued training and guidance, he has lots of potential. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion who loves to learn, Staal could be the perfect match!

When Staal arrived at the shelter, he tested positive for heartworm disease. The HSC shelter veterinary team has completed his heartworm treatment, and he is looking forward to a heartworm-free life! It is important for Staal to rest and recover after treatment, so he will need a calm environment for the next few weeks before returning to his regular active self. All adoptions are handled on a first-come, first-served basis at our Adoption Center, located at 1348 Parker Drive. No appointment is needed to meet your future furry friend! Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
