I just arrived at HSC from another shelter, so there isn't much known about my past or what I'm like in a home yet. The best way to get to know me is to come meet me in person-maybe we'll turn out to be the purr-fect match!

I have tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FelV). FeLV is a cat specific virus that is transferred through bodily fluids, from activities such as grooming or a bite wound. FeLV can cause a cat to be more susceptible to diseases that a healthy cat may be able to fight off. I should be retested in January 2027, which is around 6 months after my last test. I need to be an indoor cat for the remainder of my life to protect me from exposure to diseases, and so I don't spread the virus to another cat. I should receive regular check-ups just like any other cat.

He dado positivo al Virus de la Leucemia Felina (FeLV). Este virus puede hacer que sea más difícil para mi organismo combatir algunas enfermedades.

Necesitaré repetir la prueba en enero de 2027, aproximadamente seis meses después de mi último examen. También necesitaré vivir exclusivamente dentro de casa durante toda mi vida para protegerme de enfermedades y evitar transmitir el virus a otros gatos. Además, debo recibir revisiones veterinarias periódicas, igual que cualquier otro gato.
