Bowie
Meet Bowie! This fluffy girl is so sweet and ready to find her own home. While we don't have too much info on her past, she has shown to be a playful and curious girl who enjoys lounging on her window seat when she's not playing with a new toy.
Bowie has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FelV). FeLV is a cat specific virus that is transferred through bodily fluids, from activities such as grooming or a bite wound. FeLV can cause a cat to be more susceptible to diseases that a healthy cat may be able to fight off. Bowie should be retested in December, 2026, which is around 6 months after her last test. She will need to be an indoor cat for the remainder of her life to protect her from exposure to diseases, and so she don't spread the virus to another cat. She should receive regular check-ups just like any other cat.
