Volunteer Groups

Thank you for your interest in having your group volunteer with the Humane Society of Charlotte! Every day, volunteers at HSC change the lives of animals in our community.

We can accommodate your group of 12 people or less (no exceptions) at the shelter between 9am-11am, M-F. Groups will be split into pairs to assist with cat and dog kennel cleaning, laundry, glass cleaning, outdoor play yard foaming, and other facility maintenance activities. We’ll reserve time in the beginning of your volunteer shift for a mini orientation and facility tour and then we’ll conclude with playtime with one of our available animals!

Have a bigger group or can’t volunteer on one of the days listed? HSC has bigger volunteer projects that pop up throughout the year that are perfect for groups! Contact the Volunteer Program Manager (volunteer@humanecharlotte.org) to see if we have a project available for your group.
