Support the Pet Food Bank

We Need Your Help!
The Humane Society of Charlotte’s Pet Food Bank is seeing a major increase in requests for support from local pet owners, and our shelves are running low. We’re calling on our community to help us keep pets and people together by donating dog and cat food today.
What is the Pet Food Bank?
HSC’s Pet Food Bank is a temporary assistance program that helps community members facing challenges in accessing the pet food and supplies they need. It’s a vital resource that works to ensure no one has to choose between meeting their own needs and keeping their beloved pets at home, where they belong.
As the economic and social pressures of today’s world continue to affect households, we’ve seen requests for food assistance double in recent months and our supplies are struggling to keep up.
What Do We Need?
Our most urgent needs are wet and dry dog and cat food. We accept donations in their original packaging, even if they’ve been opened.
How Can You Help?
- Donate pet food directly to HSC. Every bag and can helps a family in need.
- Host a collection drive. You can pick up a donation box and instruction sheet anytime from our Adoptions Lobby at HSC. Set it up at your workplace, school, church, or local business to help collect donations from your community.
- Shop our Amazon or Chewy needs lists to send new items to the shelter for pets in need.
Together, we can make sure pets stay in loving homes where they belong.
