TananaHumane Society of Charlotte
Volunteers describe me as very sweet although I can be a little shy. It doesn't take me very long to warm up to people and once I feel comfortable I'll be demanding you pet and love on me.
I enjoy activities that challenge my mind. Sometimes staff place my meals in fun puzzles that allow me to exercise my problem solving skills. Other times, staff and volunteers have me work with my nose to find where they've hidden an amazing treat. They place the treats in boxes, balls, toys, and even in PVC pipes with holes! I always find the goodies, though. Mental games like these keep me focused and stimulated.
At HSC, one of my favorite activities are the canine playgroups! During playgroup staff and volunteers say I'm a lot of fun. I romp, wrestle, chase, and interact with the other dogs waiting to be adopted. I'd do well in your home with just you or with you and your resident canine companion.
Did you know?! I am a ‘Have a Heart' fund recipient. I have heartworms that will need to be treated in the home, but through this fund, the Humane Society of Charlotte has a voucher to assist with fees for the treatment. The treatment at their partnering vet clinics is done at a reduced rate for our adopters. Our partner clinics will provide me with top notch care and support during the treatment. I am in need of an adopter that will maintain a great relationship with my vet to help get me heartworm free!
If you are interested in adopting me, find my profile at www.petango.com/HSC and fill out the adoption questionnaire to get started! An adoption counselor will reach out to you with more information and to set up a time for adoption.
