PatagoniaHumane Society of Charlotte
Patagonia sports a beautiful black and orange fur coat highlighted by a white fur bib and a pair of soulful green eyes. This pretty girl is 4 years old and ready to be loved. Staff calls her Patty and says she is a sweetie. She can't wait to find her new fur-ever home where she can settle in on a sunny windowsill and become your new BFF (Best Furry Friend).
I have tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). FeLV is a cat specific virus that I came into contact with, either through my mother (at birth) or another cat's saliva (from grooming or a bite wound). FeLV can cause a cat to be more susceptible to diseases that a healthy cat may be able to fight off. HSC does not know when I came in contact with the FeLV, and it is possible that I may be able to rid the virus from my system. Because of this, I should be retested 6 months after my last test. I need to be an indoor cat for the remainder of my life to protect me from exposure to diseases and should receive regular check-ups just like any other cat.
If you are interested in adopting Patagonia, come meet her soon at the Humane Society of Charlotte. She can't wait to meet you!
