Hosting Your Own Event
The Humane Society of Charlotte is grateful for the generosity and support of people and organizations throughout the Charlotte region. We could not do what we do without you!
While we may be able to provide guidance for your event, we do not have the personnel to handle the organizational and administrative tasks associated with third-party events. Therefore, you are responsible for all details of the event including underwriting all of the related costs; recruiting volunteers to help out at the event; creating flyers to publicize the event, and working at the actual event. We appreciate your understanding and willingness to raise funds for HSC!
Please let us know if you are interested in the following, which are not promised and are provided depending upon availability:
- Online fundraising tools (personal fundraising pages through DonorPerfect)
- Being added to our online event calendar
- Informational brochures
- A mention in our e-newsletter (must receive at least 4 weeks notice)
- Volunteer assistance
- An informational table at your event
Events with Animals
Currently, HSC is able have animals attend events on Tuesdays. This will allow for HSC staff presence, as the shelter is closed for training and deep cleaning on Tuesdays. Events must be during the day and animals must return to the shelter no later than 4pm. We prefer events that are 3 hours or less, as it can get tiring and overwhelming for the dogs with all of the excitement. Events are handled on a first-come, first served basis. We are unable to commit to more than 1 event on the same day.
Donation required for presence of animals:
1-3 animals = $250 donation
4-6 animals = $500
