We’ve added to our pack!
With excitement, the Humane Society of Charlotte is proud to announce a new addition to our pack!
Libby Jones joined the HSC team as the Vice President of Operations in January 2019. Libby focused the entirety of her career thus far working with animals in some form. Beginning in animal husbandry, Libby started her career in Tallahassee, Florida working with animals at the local zoo and museum. Sparking a love of the animal welfare industry, Libby took her Biological Sciences degree from Florida State University and began working with animal clinics and eventually moved to a role focused on animal education with the historical Zoo Atlanta and then with the City of Greensboro, NC.
With a strong background in the management of animal hospitals, Libby is familiar with the unique challenges presented to organizations like the Humane Society of Charlotte. Balancing the day-to-day operations of an animal facility, coupled with customer service, animal health and more is a finely-honed skill she has earned over the years.
Libby joins the Humane Society of Charlotte from Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a Seminole graduate at heart but earned her master's degree in Environmental Risk Assessment with the plans of earning a Ph.D. in Animal Welfare.
Her goal for the Humane Society remains steadfast by providing humane care to all animals and continuing to increase the live release rate in the Charlotte community.
